Samir Akl Shaia

It is with great sadness that the family of Samir Akl Shaia announces his passing on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 78 years. Samir will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 45 years, Marie (nee Boutros), and his children, Dr. Samir Shaia Jr. (Dr. Ghunwa), Dr. Anthony Shaia (Dr. Crystel), Tisha Sfeir (Bassam), Rita Cavalier (Brian) and Dr. Lisa Abraham (Paul).  Samir will also be fondly remembered by his 11 grandchildren, Tatiana, Ella Jolie, Eyana, Kaya Amor, Anthony, Talia, Cassia, Vienna, Cristiano, Petra and Rocco,  and by his brothers Michael (Samia), Sami (Jano) and the late Rafic.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Maron Church, 7800 Brookside Rd., Independence, OH 44131 or the Aitaneet Foundation, P.O. Box 93234 Cleveland, OH 44101.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maron Church, 1245 Carnegie Ave., Cleveland, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
