SCOTT MCDANNEL, age 67, of Strongsville, OH, peacefully joined the Lord on January 28, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Kathryn “Kate” (nee Childs); loving father of Conner (Michele), Alyssa, and the late Tayler; son of the late Perry and Irene McDannel; brother to Lane (Sue) and Perry (Marie), and the late Steve (Anne) McDannel; and loved brother-in-law to Melanie (Robin) Busby. Scott was a graduate of Berea High School (1978) and Ashland College (1982) with a Bachelors in Business Management and Economics as well as a brother of Kappa Sigma. Scott was the owner of family business North Coast Paving, and a proud member of Christ Church. He loved history, golfing, and a good cigar. Scott was a friend to many, known for his generosity and ability to light up a room. He was also a passionate advocate for epilepsy awareness; in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his name to the Epilepsy Association. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at THE RIPEPI COMMUNITY CENTER, 5784 PEARL ROAD (AT SNOW RD) SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2026 FROM 2-5PM, WITH A MEMORIAL SERVICE AT 4PM.
