Sebastiano Costanzo

SEBASTIANO COSTANZO, age 90; beloved husband of Maria (nee Conti) for 65 years; loving father of Rose Costanzo, Catherine Krawczonek (Joseph), Tony Costanzo (Lynda) and Daniele Costanzo (Sara); dearest grandfather of Jordano, Melanie and Cody Costanzo, Jacob Krawczonek (fiancée, Sara Maholtz) and Sara Krawczonek; dear son of the late Antonio and Caterina Costanzo (nee Lupica); brother of Caterina (deceased), Maria (deceased) (Nino), Joseph (deceased) (Josephine) and Anthony (Sebastiana).  Sebastiano was born in the small town of Maniaci (near Bronte) in Catania, Sicily.  He worked as a medical assistant and served in the Italian Army before coming to this country in the spring of 1959, after marrying Maria in Sicily, Italy.  He worked in the steel mills when he came to the U.S., retiring from LTV Steel (Republic Steel). He always had a love of music, playing the accordion and harmonica, along with other instruments.  He loved his fig trees, garden and making ricotta cheese.  He also loved shopping for the best deal, often bringing home treasures he’d find along the way.  Memorial service at the funeral home, Monday, June 20, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), MONDAY 4-7 P.M.
