Shelly Lynn Plasky, age 62, of North Royalton joined the heavenly chorus on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Shelly was a loving and devoted mother to Gabriella Mustee (Jordan) and a cherished grandmother to Leonardo and Austin, who brought the most joy to her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Cindy Schrank (niece April) and Julie Luedtke (nephew Kyle and his children Keeva and Orin, and niece Kaitlyn and her husband Josh). She has been reunited with her beloved parents, Nicholas and Karen Plasky, her dear brothers, David Plasky (father of Jonathon, Sara and Jessica) and Michael Plasky, brother-in-law, Steve Schrank, and her precious nephew, Stevie Schrank.
Shelly was born on November 21, 1963, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. With a passion for music, she graduated from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in English and Music Performance and Theory. After college, she relocated to Ohio, ultimately earning a master’s degree in education and beginning a fulfilling career as a teacher, known affectionately to many as “Senorita Pe.”
There are no words that can fully capture the color and beauty of Shelly’s spirit. She was full of excitement, love, and artistry, sharing her soul through singing and playing instruments with those around her. She treasured animals, especially her sweet cat, Francesca (“Frankie”), and her dog, Snuggy. Following her mother’s passing, Shelly lovingly cared for her pet Yorkie, Casey. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her beautiful memory will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest forever in peace with her loved ones surrounded by God’s arms.
A Memorial Service will be held on September 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Strongsville United Church of Christ, 13740 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will follow from 12:00-3:30 p.m. at J-Bella, 12201 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, Ohio.
