SHERYL MARIE JOY (nee Burns), age 55, lost a courageous battle with breast cancer on July 3rd, 2014. Beloved wife and sweetheart of Donald Joy for 36 years; dearest daughter of Richard M. Burns (deceased) and Ellen Burns (nee Giese); adored big sister of Rick Burns (Anna) of Avon Lake and Karen Giaco (Mark) of Huron; caring sister-in-law of Mike (Kelly), Tom, Bob and Tony (Robin) Joy; cherished aunt of Gregory, Angela, Sarah, Gary, Leah, Mikey and Julianna; loving niece of Edward Giese (deceased) and Carol Burns Schmidt (deceased) (John); precious cousin of Mark Schmidt (Suzie), (sister by choice) Pamela Perez-Stromeyer (Jim), Catie and John. Sherry was born November 5, 1958 and lived in the Parma area her entire life. She graduated from Normandy High School in 1977. Sherry was an employee at PSE Parma Credit Union for 23 faithful years. Her last position was head teller at the Strongsville location. Sherry will be missed greatly by her co-workers. She had a contagious smile and a positive, warm, enthusiastic personality that made her loved by many friends. She loved Star, her little dog, and loved spending time with her nieces Angela, Sarah and Leah doing crafts or just hanging out. She also loved going to Indians games with her brother Rick, his family and mother. Sherry loved and adored spending time with her sister Karen. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Monday, July 7 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. A celebration of Sherry's life will be held at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), SUNDAY FROM 2-7 P.M.
