Simon Zarife

SIMON ZARIFE, age 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.  Beloved husband of Amal (nee Karim) for 45 years; loving father of Houda Crable (Dan), Christine Green (Ray), Nicole Gove (Chris), Simon Zarife, Jr. and Sarah Paolino (Gabe); dearest grandfather of Dominic, Lucas, Olivia, Vince, Reid, Jacob, Amalia, Gabriel, Victoria, Julia, Giovanni and Simon; son of the late Salim and Maria (nee Pouzbouris); dear brother of Souad Khadige, May Bouyounan, George Zarife and the late Sami, Souheil, Pierre and Souheila; beloved brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle; Godfather and dear friend of many.  Simon was a past president of the Lebanese American Christian Society and a longtime member of NOLAA.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maron Chapel, 7800 Brookside Rd., Independence, Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1 p.m. Interment Eastlawn Memory Gardens.  Family and friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2023 FROM 3-7 P.M. with prayers of incense at 4:30 p.m.
