Sophie Juran

SOPHIE JURAN (nee Stiene), age 81, passed away after bravely enduring lung cancer. Born in Gottschee (Yugoslavia), was a refugee in Austria after WWII and immigrated through Ellis Island in 1951. Beloved wife of the late Max for 56 years; devoted mother of Monica, Frank (Anita) and Laura (Raphael); loving Oma of five grandchildren. Sophie was a member of the German-American community who enjoyed dancing, good food, and taking road trips with her late Max. She lived to care for her family and she made a warm and inviting home that was appreciated by many. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 N. Amber Dr., Brooklyn, Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD., (AT SNOW RD.), SUNDAY FROM 2-6 P.M.
