MALETIC STAN JOSEPH, age 61, of San Francisco, CA passed away on September 10, 2015 at Coming Home Hospice in the Castro. Beloved son of Stanley Maletic and the late Palmira Maletic (nee Piastrelli). Brother of Ann Marie (husband John Ruoff, son Jerimy and wife Julie, granddaughters Chinah and Delilah), Tom (wife Lisa, daughter Emily and husband Dan, son Mark), Mike (wife Julie, sons Steven and JT), and Paul (wife Laura, son Mitch, daughter Brooke). Growing up in Parma, OH within a large extended family that included the Kovach and Piastrelli family cousins (Nancy, Pam, Chuck, Laura, Greg, Deborah and Joe) and many others. Stan Graduated from Padua Franciscan High School in 1971 and continued his educational endeavors at Ohio University, City College of SF and California Polytechnic State University. He was always a gracious and energetic host to many visitors to his home while living in San Luis Obispo and San Francisco, excitedly sharing in all the treasures of Northern California with friends and family from the Midwest. Stan enjoyed many passions in life indistinguishable between fun and work including photography (both professionally and as a hobby), being a Big Brother to Rolando Serrato, an avid roller coaster enthusiast (ACE), various positions with the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department (Golden Gate Park/de Young Museum), the San Francisco Chronicle, caring for many cats and dogs (notably GG') and volunteering on many activist projects with others that shared his passion for caring and living.
