SUSAN MARIE THERESE ARIDA ABRAHAM, age 83, entered into eternal rest on June 18, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Norman J. Abraham Sr.; loving mother of Christine M. Abraham (Joshua Pepper) and of her late sons, Norman "Ace" Abraham Jr. and Mark J. Abraham; cherished grandmother of Susanjean Flaherty and Miranda Abraham. Daughter of the late Joseph and Tina Arida; devoted eldest sister of Joann Medwetz (Joseph), Paul Arida (Linda), Michaelene" Mickie" Lampshire, and the late Joseph Arida (Sheryl). She was also a devoted aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

A graduate of St. John Cantius High School, Susan was a dedicated and hardworking woman from an early age. As a teenager, she helped her parents run Arida’s Delicatessen on West 16th in Cleveland, learning the values of hard work, family, and service to others. Alongside her husband, she later co-owned and operated several family businesses, including the Broadwalk Lounge and Brookpark Golf Range.

She was a woman of deep faith in God, and her faith guided the way she loved, served, and cared for others throughout her life.

She loved music, writing poetry, and dancing; she was also a wonderful singer. She also had an incredible sense of humor and delighted in making people laugh. Later in life, she enjoyed her years at Pioneer Ridge by Del Webb, where she embraced retirement with enthusiasm. She could often be found at the gym, in the pool, singing in the choir, coloring pictures to brighten someone's day, or chatting with friends over a cup of coffee.

Her home was filled with love, coffee, ice cream, and wolves; and it was always spotless. People rarely left her home empty-handed, as she sent her visitors away with something—a plate of food, a cozy blanket, or a little Jesus figurine with a prayer card. Taking care of others came naturally to her.

Susan loved deeply and was loved deeply. She accepted people wholly, offering compassion, encouragement, and a sense of belonging to those fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her beautiful voice, faith, laughter, big heart, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.
