Susan T. Ligas

Susan T. Ligas, age 64, passed away peacefully in the arms of her children on Monday, September 10, 2018. She was born on March 15, 1954 in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Norton High School in 1972. Susan had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh that could light up any room. She was an amazing cook, baker, and singer, and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and grand puppies.  Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Genet, brother, Christopher Ligas, and sister, Karen Bechdel. She is survived by her children Andrea (Curtis) Fox, Stephen (Nancy) Bennett, Edward (Danielle) Struckel, Laura (Tom Dixon) Struckel, Adam Struckel, and Taylor (Erin) Deal. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Johnathon (Angel), Alex, Allie, Vincent, Santino, Antonio, Hayden, Mason, Kaydence, and Kylie. She leaves behind, her father, Peter Ligas; brothers, Pete (Marlyn), Mike (Barb), Ben (Sherri), Frank (Jean); sisters, Kathy (Karl), Beth (David); and many nieces and nephews. A casual Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 10 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Coventry Oaks Pavilion (Firestone Metro Park), 40 Axline Ave., Akron 44319.
