Thomas William Clifford, Sr.

THOMAS WILLIAM CLIFFORD, SR., age 78, of North Royalton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 15, 2020.  He was born in East Cleveland on March 9, 1942.  Tom graduated from Shaw High School and Lake Erie College.  He retired from the Nordstrom Corporation and Lorain Community College where he was an Adjunct Instructor in July of 2005.  He was the past president of American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).  Tom enjoyed all Cleveland sports and antiquing with his wife.  He was a member of the Cleveland Indians Heavy Hitter Club as well as a current member of the Masons. He is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Mabel Clifford (nee Maher), mother-in-law Emma Sliman, sister-in-law Judy Haines and niece Rosie Clifford.  He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Diane Clifford (nee Zisk), son Tommy Clifford (Lynn), grandchildren Cassidy, Colin and Tara Clifford, brother James Clifford (Mary); brother-in-law Scott Haines, sister-in-law Shirley Gray (David) as well as the following nieces and nephews: Jamie, Ryan and Elizabeth Clifford, Allison Lipton (nee Gray), Steve Gray, Chris Haines (Riley) and Matt Haines, along with three great-nieces and great-nephew.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. at the Ripepi Community Center, 5784 Pearl Rd., Parma.  At 2:30 p.m. Diane will welcome guests to invite family and friends to share memories of Thomas with dinner to follow.
