Thomas Monahan

Thomas Monahan, age 69; loving father of Elena Byrd (husband Rashawn) and Sean Monahan; dearest brother of William Monahan and the late Michael; loving grandfather and dear uncle of many. Thomas attended Valley Forge High School in Parma. Upon graduation Thomas joined the United States Marine Corp, served in the Vietnam War and was a celebrated Sergeant. He returned to Cleveland and had a successful 30 year career at LTV Steel, where he made many life-long friends, especially “his brother” Hale McCann. He retired in Melbourne, Florida and enjoyed sky-diving, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He leaves his close family and friends with many cherished memories. Friends and family received on Saturday, July 9 at St. Malachi Church, 2459 Washington Ave., 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
