THOMAS WULFF, SR.
Thomas Wulff, Sr., 68, of Palm Bay, FL, died at home Wednesday, February 1, 2017 after a long and distinguished career in government service. Tom served honorably in the US Army in Vietnam as a helicopter crew chief, having been awarded two purple hearts, a bronze star, the air medal, among several others.
Following his military retirement he spent 20 years with the US Customs Service, ending that career as a Sr. Special Agent.
A true patriot, Tom was a lifetime member of the VFW, Vietnam Helicopter Crew Members Association and a longtime member of the American Legion. He was a loving, giving man who was exceptionally proud of all his children.
Locally, visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Strunk Funeral Home, 1623 North Central Avenue, Sebastian, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 9th at 11:00 am at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US1 Sebastian, FL. In Ohio, the family will receive friends Monday, February 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Road, Parma, Ohio. Interment will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio with Military Honors conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard.
Tom is survived by his wife, Candyce; sons, Thomas Jr. (Gina) and Ryan (Lupe); daughters, Nicole Cavanagh (Tom) and Dana Clore (Jeremy); the childrens' mother, Margaret Wulff; brother, Walter (Tina); sisters, Charlotte Schmitz (Larry) and Margaret "Koko" Park (Jeff); grandchildren, Ivan, Cynthia, Taryn, Kevin and Clare; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Carter as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margaret Wulff; brothers, William and Timothy and sisters, Sandra Reece and Beverly Smith.
