Vera L. Wright, age 103 passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. She was born on January 31, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio. She is the daughter of George and Olive Bunyan (both deceased) and the wife of Charles W. Wright (deceased).
She is survived by her niece Elizabeth Limberg (Tom, deceased), nephew Arthur Hayes (Tammy), niece Barbara Natterer (Richard, deceased), and nephew Robert Bonnett (Pamela). She is survived by many great-nieces and nephews, numerous great-great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her three sisters: Elizabeth Whittier (William, deceased), Violet Hayes (Arthur, deceased) and Olivemae Ponicki (Carl, deceased; George Bonnett, deceased). She is also predeceased by niece Marilyn Novak (Bob, deceased), niece Nancy Guesman (Dean, deceased), nephew George Bonnett (Amy), great-niece Laura Tice (Jason) and great-nephew Jeffrey Natterer (Kim).
Vera is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College with a teaching degree. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She began her teaching career at the Willard City Schools and then taught fourth grade for the remainder of her career in the Olmsted Falls School District. She was a lifelong resident of Olmsted Falls, Ohio. She was an active member of the Ohio State Grange and the Rocky River Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the White Shrine. She enjoyed summers at her cottage in Mackinaw City, Michigan. Her final years were spent at St. Therese of Westlake. The family acknowledges the outstanding care of the nursing staff and also wishes to thank Harmony Hospice for their kind and gentle care. Vera was an avid knitter and was known for her sweet disposition. She will be dearly missed by her family and numerous friends in Ohio and Michigan.
A graveside service celebrating her long life will be scheduled at a later date.
