VIOLET MARIE WOLFSON (nee Pocci), age 86, passed away June 25, 2015 in Parma. Violet was born in Pine, PA to hard-working Italian immigrant parents, Aladino and Fosca Pocci. The family moved to Cleveland when Violet was a child. She graduated from Lincoln High School and was voted "Best Dancer". She met her husband to be, Marvin Wolfson, while working as a bookkeeper for the City of Cleveland Probation Department. Violet enjoyed socializing with her many friends and was proud of the charity work she did during her tenure with the Women's League of Parma Heights. Her children and grandchildren were a source of great pride for her, she regularly attended Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for many years, and most recently belonged to the North Italian Club. She was preceded in death by her son, David, and is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Marvin, their daughter Lyn Wolfson (Dennis de la Mata), son Lee (Jeanette Sherwood), grandchildren David and Helena Wolfson, special sister-in-law Carole Wolfson and an extended family very dear to her that includes many close, life-long friends. The family suggests memorial donations to the charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Tuesday, June 30 at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
