VIRGINIA METYK (nee Cieglo), age 95, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Virginia was born August 4, 1922 in Detroit, MI and lived in Euclid for 23 years. After moving to Parma in 1973, she was an active member of Holy Family Church and sang in their choir for 37 years. She had many close friends, including her Bunco group that has been meeting for 59 years. She enjoyed activities with her family, her church, swimming, bowling, cooking, baking, crocheting, knitting and shopping. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Tom Metyk (Teresa) and Sharon Barrett (Jim), grandchildren Robert Metyk (Tina) and Lori Ludlow (Bart) and great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ashley, Britney, Ryan, Tommy, Tyler and Zachary. She was also survived by her brother Edward Cieglo (Terry) and many other family members. Preceding Virginia in death are her husband John, parents Frank and Stella Cieglo and step-mother Margaret Cieglo. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 7367 York Rd., Parma, Saturday, May 12 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will received friends at RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), FRIDAY 2-4 AND 6-8 P.M.
