U.S. Army Veteran; Skippy’s first love was to his wife Carol to whom he was married to for 62 years. Throughout his life he impacted generations of those within his family providing them with love, security and guidance. Skippy led an adventurous life that rivaled Forrest Gump. He spent time overseas driving a tank for the Army where he nearly ran over Elvis Presley, vacationed in Europe multiple times including attending the Oktoberfest in Germany more than once and went to Niagara Falls countless times taking along friends and family to experience his joy of travel. Skip enjoyed learning, culture, history and his retention of facts dubbed him the name “Skipopedia”. Skippy was fond of cars, never missing an auto show, working at Ford Motor Company for over 20 years and driving his all-time favorite Ford Mustang. He was proud to be a provider working until the age of 72 years old. Being a father and grandfather was his crown jewel. Skip had only one son, but the number of those that experienced his fatherly love is numerous.
