William J. Bernard

WILLIAM J. BERNARD, age 91, of Brook Park, passed away peacefully Monday, September 23, 2024.  Beloved husband of Jeannette (nee Gautreau) for almost 70 years; loving father of Dorine Minnehan (Randall, deceased), Ernie Bernard (deceased) (Kathy), David Bernard (Yumiko Tatara), Donna Ryant (Doug), Theresa Bost (Brian) and Denise Tolliver (Lee, deceased); dearest grandfather of Drew, Caitlin, Matthew, Christopher, Alex, Chuck, Jessica, Carissa, Tony, Raymond, Kevin and Kaylee; great-grandfather of 11.  Bill was a proud U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and lifetime member of the Barbershop Harmony Society.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, directing Barbershop Choruses and traveling the world with his wife. He was loved and will be greatly missed.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org. Family and friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2024 FROM 5-7 P.M. with a concluding service at 6:30 p.m.
