William B. Gimmel

WILLIAM B. GIMMEL, age 87, passed away on March 18, 2023.  Beloved husband of Marianne (nee Dziurzynski) for 58 years. Loving father of Marilyn Davies (Gregory), Laurie Hamzik (Richard, deceased) and Elaine Gimmel (Tim Dardy, Jr.).  He was a cherished grandfather of Amanda Spino (Kyle) and Gillian Davies. Bill was a long-time member of St. Charles Borromeo Church.  He was head usher, past president of the Credit Union and involved in Men’s Club and the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Bill served in active duty for three years in the United States Army, as a heavy weapons infantryman, from 1954 – 1957. He was honorably discharged in 1962.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 22324, New York, NY 10087 or to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH 44129.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Friday, March 24, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Family will receive friends at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), THURSDAY 4-8 P.M.
