WILLIAM D. TRANBERG, age 85; of North Royalton. Passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024. Born and raised in Englewood, New Jersey. Enlisted at age 17, served in the U.S. Navy for three years. Bill met the love of his life Dee through a blind date. He went to night school through the GI Bill while starting a family and moved to Chicago in 1968. He furthered his career by moving to Cleveland in 1986, and had a 60 year career in the Thermoplastics Industry. He loved golf, fishing, sports, wine and Notre Dame. He was an avid participant in his grandchildren’s activities. Beloved husband of Dolores “Dee” (nee Iorio); loving father of William, Daniel (deceased), Maria Rowlett (Richard) and Michelle Finkle (Thomas); dearest grandfather of Taylor Tranberg, Emily Rowlett, Maxfield Rowlett, Abigail Rowlett and Jack Finkle; brother of Thomas (deceased). In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
