WILSON OBRERO, JR, age 31 passed away on February 6, 2019 surrounded by his wife, father and his baby sister. Wilson was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of brain cancer in April of 2014 but did not let that stop him. In the past five years he spent time traveling, spending time with friends and family and making memories. On October 20, 2017 he welcomed his baby boy into the world. Wilson Evan Obrero, III was his whole world. He brought so much joy to his dada’s life. He wanted to leave a legacy behind and he was able to fulfill that in his son. He lived his short life to the fullest and lived more in his 31 years then people do in a whole lifetime. Wilson spent much of his last few years educating himself and others on his diagnosis. He left his mark by his final act of donating his brain to Duke University and the continued search for a cure. He was the beloved husband of Britney (nee George); loving father of Wilson Evan Obrero, III; dearest son of Wilson Obrero, Sr., Leonora Obrero and Sonia Thompson; dear grandson of Elvia Nives, Fred Obrero and Kelly Obrero; brother of Teresa Obrero, George Rodriguez (Dima), Julius Thompson and Rico Thompson; son-in-law of Dennis and Dora George; brother-in-law of Brandon, Ben and Brianna George; wonderful uncle, cousin, nephew and dear friend of many; retired Coast Guard Officer.
