Donnette M. Delguidice

Donnette DelGuidice was called to eternal rest on April 20, 2023, at 91 years of age. Born on November 16, 1931, she was the beloved wife of Fred del Guidice who preceded her in death on April 28, 1997. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Angelo “Bud” Perry, and Pat “Junior” Perry. She is survived by her younger brother, Fred (Melinda) Palladino Perry.

She was the mother of Toni, Sherry (Roger), Fred (Ginny) and Dina (Craig), and a loving grandmother to Erica (Joe), Mandy, Roger (Mary), Elizabeth (Robert), Hannah, Rachel, Naomi, Fred and Gabriel; dearest great- grandmother and great great-grandmother.

Donnette lived life with unprecedented Italian class and gusto. Her grandchildren always looked forward to her homemade tomato sauce, and enjoyed her colorful memories of the “old neighborhood” in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the very personification of what it means to be young at heart, and never let her age stop her from embracing a youthful demeanor, always with enough sparkle to brighten any room, and exquisite fashion sense that would put others, often many years her junior, to shame. Donnette never missed doing her “phases” each night to keep her skin glowing, and savored her daughter Sherry’s cooking and the artwork of her son Fred.

She loved listening to Italian music, especially her beloved Dean Martin, and enjoyed many timeless movies including Rocky, Gone with the Wind, and The Ten Commandments.

Donnette loved God more than anything in life and spoke about Him constantly in her later years. She thanked Him throughout each day for all He had blessed her with, "especially my wonderful family," and faithfully prayed for the safety and well-being of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Donnette treasured her beloved St. Anthony, who was her lifelong patron saint.

Friends may call at Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Road, Parma, OH 44129 on Friday, April 28th from 3P.M.-8P.M.

A Funeral Mass (Requiem) will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29th, at St. Rocco Catholic Church, 3205 Fulton Rd., Cleveland, OH 44109, at 11:00A.M. Please meet at church.

The graveside burial service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery following the funeral.
