Gerald James Shamray

GERALD JAMES SHAMRAY, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2023.  Husband of Tracy (nee Lippert) for 19 years; son of the late Edward and Roselyn Shamray; father of fur babies, Guinness and Copper.  Gerry was a member of the National Society of Illustrators.  He was an American Comic Book artist known for his work on American Splendor and John Darling.  Gerry was an adjunct professor at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Committal service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Monday, October 2, 2023 at 2 p.m. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.), SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2023 from 1-4 P.M. with a service at 3:30 p.m.
