Mario Antonio Vadini

Mario Antonio Vadini was born on June 13, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away in Matthews, NC on December 28, 2019. He is survived by his four children, Tony, Lynn Armbrust (David), Michael and Christine - all with his former spouse Marilyn Romeo. He leaves 8 grandchildren: Adeline (Chris), Carmen, Justine, Lauren (Adam), Daniel, Michael (Sheryl), Nicholas (Jess) and Isabella, as well as four great grandchildren, Jack, Vivian, James and Michael. Mario is also survived by his sister, Grace D'Orazio (Louis) and his sister-in-law, Joanna Vadini. He is predeceased by his parents Antonio and Adeline Vadini (nee Mambella), sister Patricia Moore (Les) and brothers Joseph (Thelma) and Dominic.  He is also survived by all his nieces and nephews that he dearly loved. Mario grew up a part of a large Italian family who lived on Cleveland's west side off of W. 130th St. He graduated from John Marshall High School.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the West Park Vets. Together with Marilyn, he moved to Parma and raised the family. He was known as a hard worker and typically worked 6-7 days a week, both as a Parma Firefighter and his own residential concrete construction business. His goal in life was always clear - to work hard and raise a good and beautiful family. When his children were grown, he moved to Charlotte, NC in 1999 and immediately found great happiness making many new friends. His mornings were spent at the coffee shop with the regular group and his evenings were spent at Mickey and Mooch enjoying friends, music, dancing - and of course, a manhattan. He was adored by many for his friendly spirit and sense of humor. He lived that way until the last days of his life. The family would like to thank Barbara Miller, for the past two years of loving care that made him happy and comfortable in his home. A celebration of Mario's life will be held at Mickey & Mooch, 8128 Providence Rd., Suite 1200, Charlotte, NC 28277 on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 7-10 p.m.
