Paul Michael Bertin

PAUL MICHAEL BERTIN, of Rocky River. Born on August 19, 1950 and passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia (nee Maisano) his children, Paul Bertin (Elizabeth), Gina Christoffers (Daniel), Michael Bertin (Jenna), Alisa Cutro (Ryan), his ten grandchildren, Nathan, Will and Ben Bertin, Nicholas and Jacob Christoffers, Michael, Alex and Luke Bertin, Caroline and Ryan Cutro, dear siblings John (Kathy), Anthony (Julie), Vincent (Andrea), Christopher (Laurie), Robert (Judy), Margaret and Dante (Christine). Predeceased by his parents, Dante and Margaret Bertin. Paul was a graduate of Padua Franciscan High School, University of Cincinnati and Case Western Reserve University Dental School. He received his degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Metro Hospital and was nominated and appointed to the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as a Board Certified Examiner, serving for ten years.  He volunteered his services operating in Mexico and also joined the Partnership in Hope, traveling to Lithuania to operate and train surgeons to do complex procedures. Paul was a well-known oral surgeon in the Cleveland area for many years.  He was an active parishioner at St. Rocco Church, an honorary brother of the Mercedarian Order (Fratello Maggiore) and a member of the Sante Catholic Union. Paul, Dad and Papa spent his life devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. He found joy in traveling with Patti and friends, attending his grandsons’ hockey games, his granddaughter’s dance recitals, playing golf and the guitar.  He was loved and will be greatly missed by many. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Rocco Church Capital Campaign Fund. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rocco Church, 3205 Fulton Rd., Cleveland, Friday, October 4, 2024 at 10 a.m. Please meet at church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD. (AT SNOW RD.) THURSDAY 3-7 P.M.
